The Eighth Doctor comic strip was pretty wholesome. I enjoyed those more than the novels. DWM should have been allowed to regenerate him into Eccelston in The Flood.
I felt it jumped the gun a bit when he regenerated into Nick Briggs in Wormwood.
That's quite early on.

Re: Is the 8th Doctor canon to you?

I love most of the pre-Dark Eyes eighth Doctor stuff, books, comics, audios included. There are also examples of the extended universe that for me really capture the spirit of Who in a way that NuPu never has. I know it's been discussed here before, but 'Doctor Who and the Pirates' is an example. Th...

Re: Who Will be the 13th Doctor?

There's a lot that doesn't make sense in 'Day of the Doctor', but that does. One can assume that in the original timeline, he didn't call himself the Doctor again until after his regeneration, when he would have adopted it as a title to challenge him to redeem himself. Which makes sense. Of all the...

Re: Who Will be the 13th Doctor?

I think our views have actually converged, Burun! I've become more sceptical -- in, as stated, Peter Davison's sense -- of a female Doctor. This was always destined to happen. The Hive's greatest synthesis. Would I have to buy that Hartnell was gender neutral? Would Morgana have to play it as ...

America is a country founded on hatred, greed, self protectionism and racism.
This is just historically untrue.

The United States was founded on revolutionary bourgeois values that have come into contradiction with themselves in industrial capitalism.

Re: Mission to the Unknown Recreation

Did anyone ever see those fan-produced theatre plays of Power of the Daleks and Evil of the Daleks? I recall reading up on them a bit but their tour never made it up my end There was a full film version of Power which was actually pretty decent. Totally unbound but decent and professional nonethele...
