Re: The Timeless Children's Plotholes

Theory: BBC want Dr Who to move away from white men playing lead role but can't think of way to do it. RTD and Moffat won't do it, but are happy to hint it's a possibility in their time in charge. In a straw-drawing competition, Chibbers draws the short one and comes up with the retcon to end all re...

I won't be as active as normal for a while. We're moving house next week, so I'm likely to be pretty busy until we're all settled.
Good luck with that Ludders!

Re: What Doctor who DVDs are you watching today?

Next up: The Aztecs Episode 1: Opening seems to have influenced 'Pyramids of Mars' haha. Hill is excellent here as is the exposition though some of Lucarotti's script is verbose. It is historically grounded though and the music score is superb. Ian becomes a warrior. Bit like Rory all that time late...

Re: Williams or JNT?

Agree with Rob and he sums a lot of what I think up perfectly. I'd only add the under JNT, the greatest ever episode of Dr Who was released, 'Logopolis' episode 3. So it's JNT.

Re: What Doctor who DVDs are you watching today?

On to 'The Keys of Marinus'. Episode 1: WTF is Ian wearing? Nice colour TV joke. External Tardis model looks fucked already. Key to Time precursor (obvs) and standard context development. Episode 2: Relatively dull at points, Barbara very good here and the surreal aspects are well done (especially t...

Re: What are you watching on DVD?

Having re-watched 'Lost Highway' and 'Mulholland Drive', on to the first episodes of 'Twin Peaks'. On to ep 5. It's great stuff overall, goes well with the Talisker.

Re: What are you watching on DVD?

Just watched the pilot of recently purchased Michael Mann's series 'Crime Story', which I remember watching as a kid late at night...excellent stuff. Michael Mann is a genius. Agreed...I'd completely forgotten he had any involvement in this, yet when I saw the Mann Productions sign off after the cr...
