I started the DVD of Tenth Planet last night - only got through part 2, but looking forward to seeing the animated version of part 4.

Re: Leaving the forum

A lot of what attracted me to this forum is that this is the sort of free-thinking place where you can just say what you feel. When I joined the Nu-Hive, I was in a pretty bad place mentally. I had just quit the job-from-hell, I had built up so much anxiety that I couldn't sleep for more than 2 hour...

Re: Williams or JNT?

That's a hard question: I would say that early JNT (seasons 18-20) > Williams era > later JNT (21-26) . And like it says above the JNT era had greater highs, but the Williams era was more consistently good.

Re: Decent Films

Zardoz, I watched this for the first time a few months ago, and it totally blew me away. I can see how for some it might be hard to take it seriously, but if you do it'll take you on an interesting journey. I don't even like the way they ended it, and I'd probably still rank it as the second greates...

Princess Ardala from Buck Rogers (the 1979 TV series) She genuinely likes Buck and he just uses her affection for him so he can get close to her and sabotage her spaceship, ruin her plans to conquer the earth, etc... Here Buck has this incredibly beautiful, smart woman, who quite literally offers hi...

Re: Nu-Nu Star Trek In 2017 (tv series)

New Star Trek sucks. The reboot movies were complete shite. The second was so godawful, I never even watched the third. They fucked up the character of Kirk as bad as New Who (RTD era) did the Doctor. I never watched Discovery either, after hearing about it I decided I wanted nothing to do with it. ...

Re: Right, let's settle this...

II, no contest... I vs. II would be much closer. Now I would go for I, but I used to prefer II even to I. I remember I had a VHS of I that I probably watched hundreds of times before II came out. I was so excited when II came out, and remember going to see it as soon as I could and really feeling li...
