To be honest, I see it as less a left-wing thing and more a centrist/neoliberal stance, in that they’ll cling to virtues that sound good but won’t give a fuck about actual class-based politics.

It’s why I find it so patronising. It usually comes from those who are genuinely systemically privileged as it is.
Spot on.

I think it's roots are really in Blairism, and I'd hardly call him left-wing.

He was the best Tory Prime Minister the Conservative Party never had.

I'm a black shirt, but that's only because all my whites are in the wash.

Hilariously, the most vociferous anti-SJW types are avowed identitarians.

Which tells you all you need to know.

As others have suggested, identitarianism is inherently authoritarian, for it posits absolute identity, i.e. categorisation against some unwritten but eternal rulebook.

There is no room whatsoever for nuance or for the gradations of human experience. It's all profoundly depressing.

Admittedly, it's not as depressing as the fact that the 'Online' banner is currently obscuring Colin's wonderful visage.

Hide your online status, I have no such problems with my mugshot nicked from NuHive.

Assumed as such, though he hasn’t posted on the board for a while.
He's called Brigade Leader with this icon, it's vaguely possible it isn't Barlow but it looks to be a typical Barlow account to me.

He keeps his head low apart from when he can cheerleader on Mein Fuhrer Sadako's rantings and quietly wipe the spittle from his mouth afterwards.

He disappeared when he appeared under an earlier guise, got chummy with Sadako and I took the piss and then Sadako said he didn't want anything to do with him. I don't think he was perma-banned though.

Lol, no - the fun furry Edward we all know and love looks and dresses like a seedy 70's porn gimp.

However, I must say this guy you've brought to our attention looks almost every bit as disturbing, particularly when he posts up tweets such as these:

He's probably one of those nice kindly religious elder people who Sadako informed us on NuHive that as a child he was taught to never question and to always to always respect their wishes and innermost desires.

I remember the Steve Hill as Robotnik meme on here was popular among a few. Hope you don't mind if I revive it as my avatar.
