There plenty of times people complained about the giant rat, the Snake in Kinda, the thing in Caves of Androzani or the clam in Genesis before Moffat's appearance in that fanzine. You can't blame him for that, he never had that much influence before becoming show runner
I quite liked the clams in Genesis taking a quick chomp from Harry's leg myself on original viewing, I remember feeling subsequently disappointed that they were cut out from the repeated omnibus afterwards.

I always thought the Thal missile made from stacked up dustbins somewhat more embarrassing in that story.

TBF, the clam is not that relevant to the story. People always mention the rat from Talons, but my gripe would whether the rat was needed rather than the execution. Both add menace and danger and that is needed, so I am really not that bothered about either. I haven't seen Talons in ages so will rewatch later.

The Chicken Monster from Vincent and the Doctor can definitely fuck off though

No, the clam wasn't an essential relevant part of the story and I can understand why those scenes were excised for the omnibus, but just remember being disappointed by the clams non-appearance.

Despite latching onto Harry's leg, he seemed such a friendly fellow.

I liked him, even if the Doctor did clobber him with a rock.

The recently released Doctor Who - The Collection - Season 14 [Blu-ray] is currently available from Amazon uk for £149.99.

Think I'll give it a swerve.

That's ridiculous. Only three classic seasons are worth that amount of money...

The Fury animation is being slated for a September release, apparently.

Only one left in stock now from what I can see. I’d gladly get it under most circumstances, but I’m seriously not sure about my paying that bloody unrealistic amount of money for it. I’m not especially loaded with wealth!

People on GB seem to think that Evil and Snowmen are one the cards next despite no announcement. One of the animators tweeted something that seemed to suggest Evil might be coming, while there was a podcast that seemed to suggest The Underwater Menace.

Also, no announcement on the next BR release but Season 20 keeps coming up.

Here's Charles Norton from the Time Space Visualiser earlier today including the now non-inclusion of the audio narration of The Smugglers

At around the 7 minute 30 mark Charles Norton says:

The Highlanders is highly unlikely to be animated due to its complexity.

A few minutes later he says:

The Highlanders (audio) will be included on a future release.
________________________________________________________

The Power film trims from Derek Dodd's collection will also be included but in some cases slowed down and looped to make them watchable.

Main changes to animation will be in episode 1 and to Lesterson in episode 5.
