Should the Brigadier have been shot as a traitor at the end of "The Silurians"?

Post by Rob Filth »

When the Brigadier goes against the wise Doctors advice and blows the Silurians up trapping them in their caves, he basically makes them go on a revengeporn exercise a hundred years later where they almost ignite the worlds nuclear arsenal.

Surely the Brigadier is responsible for an act of treachery for almost causing the whole extinction of the human race through his actions and should've been strung up at Traitors Gate?

What do you think?

Ladies and Gentlemen, your votes please.

Let's face it, the Doctor should've really shot the Brigadier like the treacherous human hating subhuman he was, with his nuclear weapon wanking deathcult fetish.

The dirty fucking pervert.

Small wonder Grade cancelled the series 19 years later when the programme was exhibiting and exalting disgusting human-hating genocide inducing traitors like the Brigadier in a family programme of all things!

Should have strung him up at Traitors Gate with his head on a pole.

And I'd pull the lever too!

I presume you recall Sadako’s “That’s why the Brigadier was right” post on NuHive? I think it was after you challenged that frankly bizarre stance that he started moving your posts into locked threads. Arse.

Yup, you can't EVER dare criticise the military in Sadakos World.

It's an instant corrective hard pumping in the glasshouse offense.

I’m surprised he doesn’t hate The Silurians with this in mind, to be honest. The moral ambiguities are still there, but blowing up the Silurian base is hardly depicted as the absolute right thing to do.

To simply state “The Brigadier was right” simplifies the entire story at hand and makes him look as myopic as possible.

But yeah- any criticism of the military is seen as sacrilegious and sinful to Sadako. That probably applies to religion as well, for fuck’s sake.

Yup, and to Mary Whitehouse too.

After all, he was taught to respect his elders and their "traditional ways"

I genuinely don’t understand his Whitehouse stance. He was quite openly critical of her for a time, and then he came out with that post that admitted that he was “taught to respect his elders” in defence of her. It’s beyond me.

Yeah, he's not terribly consistent.

It was probably how he was able to pretend to be a "changed man" and a reasonable, normal, well adjusted which unfortunately the admin (who didn't know his full history) fell for and decided to "give him a chance" with mod powers?

I mean, unless it's a wind-up, what kind of obsessive nutter makes a clone board for themselves of one which they positively hate all the posters on for being "JNT apologist scum" and with a leeched banner?

Check this out, and he's STILL posting the same old repetitive shite - it's like a scratched stuck record going round and round and round

Just wanted to ask: Could you upload screenshots of those threads he made a year ago where he hounded the forum and abused various members in differing ways on one of the threads here (if not this one)? They give some insight into what he was like under his “Bladeswitch” alias, and if I’d known about them before I joined, I’d have probably steered clear of the Hive altogether.
