The Gunfighters is basically a marmite story, people either love it or hate it.

Personally, I quite like it.
Me too. A lot of people took exception to the singing but it doesn't really bother me.

Yeah, I don’t mind it either. It’s far from brilliant, but it’s inoffensive and entertaining enough, and Hartnell clearly relishes the whole thing throughout. There are infinitely worse stories out there, and I never quite understood the relentless bile it always got. I don’t feel too strong about it either way, to be honest, but it’s perfectly watchable despite the irrefutable flaws listed above.

Wow, another instance where Rob and Rani are actually in agreement!

I think the Gunfighters is the only classic series story that I don't have a copy of anymore. It's down there with Paradise Towers and Delta, languishing at the bottom of my Classic Who list.
I'll have to download it, as I'll be going through the 60s stories soon. I can't see my opinion of it changing though.

Hey, Rani, have you heard the exciting news?

Your favourite audio outlet BBC audio are releasing a brand new David Tennant story, but better still, unlike the other stories which is just David Tennant putting on silly voices for all of the other characters, this one has some cunt I've never heard of before doing it instead!

Isn't that just "fantastic"?

Definitely one to put on your xmas list to clutter up the glove box next to your car stereo, methinks!

I bet you can't wait with keen interest to hear how the David Tennant Faketor approaches the part in this roller coaster of emotions adventure, eh?

It's an audiobook read by an actor, what's the big deal? Many have done this before e.g. Toby Hadoke, Nick Courtney, Tom Baker....

By the way, are you excited about wearing masks in shops. It'll give you a chance to wear your Dalek voice changer helmet in public.

So aren't you excited by the news of another Faketor added to the NuPooh canon then?

I thought you'd be ecstatic by the news.

It's even got one of your favourite gimp suit wearing creatures the Ood on the cover!

Now, I bet THAT excites you, eh?

There's a big difference between wearing a safety mask to protect from COVID19 and using one of Fatheads paedo gimp helmets which cover the entire face and disguise the users voice for nefarious and sinister purposes.

I'd like to see you do your shopping wearing one of those in the supermarket however, the security would probably briskly escort and frogmarch you back out the door again.

It's just an audiobook, happens all the time. When Nick Courtney read one of the Target novels, including the words of the Doctor did that make him a 'Faketor'? No of course not. It's just called reading. You should try it.

I'm sure you could dust off the old helmet you were always talking about and use it as protection though why you always treat this objects as though they are tools of a sexual braggart defeats me.

Unlike yourself I DO read Rani, rather than opt to listen to a load of Faketors putting on lots of silly voices for different characters on rubbish BBC audios.

Still, whatever pleases you I guess...

Not sure what you mean, I possess no such helmet, but I'm sure if you wore one of your Fathead Character Option gimp masks at the checkout in Sainsburys, the woman at the checkout would soon be on the phone to the Police after the Security had wrestled you to the floor.

The police would be saying to you in the cell, "Protection from COVID19? Dear oh dear, a likely story Sunbeam!" whilst they all have a good laugh at you before the Judge throws the book at you.

It wouldn't be an audio narrated one either.

Spyfall

ooh look, another ridiculously OTT Master... How very unlike NuWho... 0/10

Orphan 55

Probably the most boring episode of this era so far. I only watched it two days ago, and I've forgotten it already. 0/10

Silver Nemesis

I used to think this was utter shite, but it seems almost passable now.
Ok, the 80's Cyb's are still pretty useless. A whole gaggle of them can't even grab hold of the Doctor whilst he's mucking around weaving in and out of them. It's pretty pathetic.
But although the story might be a bit rubbish, McCoy's performance is actually reasonable. He's much better when he plays it low key.
It's not the most exciting episode ever, but I've found more watchable this time round. I'll give it 5/10.

Amazing to think what was often regarded as the bottom of the barrel of the Classic Era is now regarded as Hinchcliffe Classics in comparison to NuPoohs worst offerings.
