Which seems to be Moffat retrenching after Capaldi's Mk. I persona wasn't too well received.

Deliberately making the Doctor unlikable doesn't seem to work (IMO Colin was much better once that aspect of his Doctor was toned down).

Personally I like Capaldi, but he has been very badly served by the scripts, more so than any other NuWho Doctor. I hope he stays on post-Moffat, if only in the possibly vain hope that Chibnall will deliver some improved scripts for the 12th Doctor to work with.

The day we feel the need to spend time recruiting specific members just because they share some of our opinions is the day we finally admit that we have no lives.
I always wanted to be somebody, but now I realize I should have been more specific.

You may be right, but if we have no lives we'll need empowering somehow!

If Capaldi does stay into the Chibnall era (and like you, and most of The Hive, I do think he could make a serious portrayal work judging by his strong performance in The Musketeers) he could end up as the first actor since Tom to drastically alter his method of playing the role not once but twice.

I also like Mr Tardis' Capaldi impression!

I knew you'd like him. He's a big Colin fan. Its a shame Mr Tardis doesn't post here, he'd fit right in.

He would indeed. Perhaps he'll discover us one day.
